Jalak lawu is surmised as bird species which endemic in Lawu mountain, and according to regional government of Magetan, jalak lawu is identified with scientific name Acridotheres javanicus. According to Mackinon (1995) was known that the feature of A. javanicus has not many resemblances to jalak lawu bird. Beside that, can be known also, there are some features from Turdus and Zoothera genus which have parity description to jalak lawu bird. The purposes of this research were to know morphology character and family kinship of fenetic between jalak lawu bird with Acridotheres, Turdus, and Zoothera genus. Jalak lawu bird that could be caught and researched by list all of morphology could be known. All character about jalak lawu bird was analyzed with numerical taxonomy and to know the family kinship between jalak lawu bird with Acridotheres, Turdus and Zoothera genus, cluster analysis can be used. The outcome of this research shows that jalak lawu bird has a closest family kinship with the genus Turdus, primarily through T. poliocephalus (Sumbing) in which value is 0,054 and it has longest family kinship with genus Zoothera, specifically through Z. geokichla citrina orientis in which value is 0,406 whereas through A. javanicus, its value is 0.296.
The current wild population of the Jalak Bali,popularly known as the Bali Starling, remains at only 6 birds, down from an estimated 109 birds in 1974. Larger breeding populations of the birds do exist, however, in zoos abroad.
The Governor, commenting on the black market price of between Rp. 15 - 20 million (US$1,500 - US$2,000) for the birds, reminded authorities not to be tempted by money to collude in acts that will cause the bird's extinction.

The police raid on the home of Arifin and Andre Heryanto on Jalan Kanda No. 8, Ngurah Rai, netted 8 peacocks, 5 Bali Starlings, a sea eagle, 2 cockatoo majors and 8 crown pigeons.
